Jonathan Baumler is a 2019 SS with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Wauwatosa, WI who attends Wauwatosa West HS. Small build with a lean frame. Ran a 7.76 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, took reps in the infield and showed step by step actions, gather could be quicker, mostly clean transfer with an extra step and a slight hop into release, developing arm strength with accuracy to the bag. Lefthanded hitter, leg lift trigger that showed a tendency to be a little late, inside hand path to ball and downhill barrel plane, some quickness to hands, tended to pull off with upper half, would like to see front shoulder stay closed longer into contact for more consistent barrel ability, mostly ground ball contact during round. Good student.
