Nolan Turner is a 2022 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B, MIF, OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Gainesville, GA who attends Chestatee. A 7.25 second runner in the sixty-yard dash, long wirey frame with loads of room to fill. Primary shortstop, easy operation to the ball with long strides, fields out in front well with soft hands. Accurate throws across the diamond, clocked at 79 miles per hour. Plays very free and easy with minimal effort. Secondary right-handed pitcher, side-rocker step and switches feet, big above the waist leg lift, whiling coiling torso. Works at a quick pace with clean arm action and a very whippy arm, coming from a high 3/4 arm slot. Fastball had arm side run on it, getting on hitter well with natural deception. Ranged 78-82 miles per hour while topping out at 82 miles per hour. Good feel for breaking ball, with 11-5 shape with good depth, able to throw in for strikes. Right-handed hitter remains under control and barreled balls up consistently. Starts with a high-hand set and leg-lift-trigger with a slight wrist flick before starting his swing. Generates good bat speed while producing easy lift on the ball, stays on the ball well through extension. Solid round of BP. Good student.
