Chase Killen is a 2022 OF/SS with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Felton, DE who attends Lake Forest. Recorded a 4.84 second forty-yard dash time. Medium, compact frame with quick twitch athleticism and room to fill out. Primary outfielder with athletic actions throughout the fielding process, proper footwork to field out in front and present arm strength. Displays ability to funnel off his front with later glove actions, while gathering cleanly to work into a slightly elongated crow-hop. Recorded arm strength up to 84 mph from the outfield with some carry to the bags. Left-handed hitter that hits from a wide, open stance with a tight hand set and small hover trigger. Incorporates slight back shoulder load and good weight shift into contact, while displaying a compact, slightly lofted stroke. Displays good present bat speed with consistent bat-to-ball skills and the propensity to find the barrel often. Middle-of-the field approach with quickness to his hands, line drive barrel plane and emerging power potential to the gaps. Fundamentally sound defensive skill set with plenty of quick twitch athleticism and upside at the plate, will continue to improve with minor refinements and additional strength.Excellent Student.
