Ryan Kennedy is a 2022 RHP/3B with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Manassas, VA who attends Charles J. Colgan Sr.. Large frame with long, broad, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.25 seconds. Primary pitcher, short takeaway through the back up to high three quarters slot, gets extended and downhill well, hides the ball well and has deception, fastball worked 81-85 mph with good life to the arm side, some sink there as well. Slider is a sweeper with good bite to it, shows good feel for his changeup as well. Good upside arm. Hits from tall, balanced stance with line drive swing plane, inside-out hand path, middle field approach overall. Worked out in the infield and showed well, quick feet to both sides, quick and smooth hands out front, lots of arm strength with good carry, clocked up to 86 mph on throws. Very good student, named to 2019 Northeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to Virginia Tech.
