Michael Kennedy is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Troy, NY who attends Troy. Large, athletic frame with present physical strength proportioned nicely throughout frame. Primary left-handed pitcher, begins with a side step moving into a leg lift up above belt, smooth delivery working to a low three-quarters release point with crossfire and plenty of angle at release. Quick arm, fastball topped out at 92 mph, makes for a tough at-bat for left-handed hitters, shows ability to miss bats and remains low effort with release. Knows how to pitch and filled the zone with a true three-pitch mix. Slider up to 82 mph with high spin and late biting life to it, flashes depth and can get in on right-handed bats. Found consistent feel for changeup, can land the pitch for strikes up to 81 mph. Mixes with comfort and can miss bats with all three pitches while setting hitters up. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to LSU.
