Micah Depew is a 2021 OF/RHP/SS with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Kountze, TX who attends Kountze. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a crouched stance with a low leg lift trigger, stays on his backside in his swing with a low center of gravity and an uphill swing plane, looks to pull and lift the ball, swings with intent, upper body rotational swing and power approach. 7.00 runner, moves well in the outfield and attacks the ball aggressively, glove works well at the ball, has some carry to his throws with good accuracy. Also pitched, big drifting stride out front, lands very open with his front side, hides the ball well with a compact mid 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 77 mph with good sink and an idea where he was throwing it. Short little slider, threw strikes with both pitches and had a quick and efficient inning. High energy player who does everything full effort on the field. Good student.
