Nathan Owen is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Columbiana, AL who attends Evangel Classical Christian School. He ran a 7.43 second sixty. A primary short stop with a younger build. On the infield he works to the ball well with firm hands receiving the ball away from the body and funneling into his mid line, the arm actions is longer through the back but is able to change slot and make accurate throws going left. On the mound he generates plenty of arm side run on the fastball to both sides of the plate at 79-81 mph from a mid three-quarters arm slot showing some effort out front with arm speed, the fastball was complemented with a tighter breaking ball in the upper 70's and a changeup with consistent arm speed in the mid 70's. Right-handed hitter, starts with an a slightly open stance using a small leg lift trigger to get back to even, the ball comes off well when he gets extension with his linear path working best middle to pull side. Excellent student.
