Aidan Karns is a 2022 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Cunningham, TN who attends Montgomery Central. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Works from the stretch on the mound with a 3/4's arm slot and good extension out front, lots of moving parts in his delivery and his head comes off line prior to release. Has good arm speed and worked consistently in the low 80's with his fastball, topping out at 83 mph while flashing the ability to locate to both sides of the plate. Showed same ability to create depth on his curveball and deception on a change up but needs to improve the consistency in his mechanics and release point on all pitches to take the next step. Right handed hitter, has a sound fundamental swing at the plate and is short and direct to the ball, mostly pull line drive contact, very consistent with the bat in irony with his mechanics on the mound. 7.64 runner in the sixty. Had sound actions in the infield on defense with clean hands at the ball and an accurate arm. Excellent student.
