Reynaldo Plasencia is a 2022 SS with a 6-2 197 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends iMater Charter. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and present physical strength proportioned throughout. Primary shortstop, sound footwork and quick to the ball, fast and soft hands out front, ball jumps out of hand across the diamond and shows accuracy and athleticism, very quick transfer, good tools overall in the dirt. Also pitched, fluid and online windup, shorter arm action through the backside and shows a quick shoulder working to a high three-quarters release. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, pitched exclusively off the heater and stayed short through release. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and utilizes a simple hand load at start of swing. Efficient swing, keeps hands inside the ball, gets quick with stride at times, stays short through contact and creates line drive contact to the middle of the field, has additional strength to unlock moving forward and tools project. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
