Geomar Santana is a 2020 C with a 5-8 180 lb. frame from Vega Baja, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Compact catcher's build with good strength. Very good runner for his build and position, 6.75 in the sixty. Has athletic actions behind the plate on defense, sets up low to the ground and works low through his release on throws, has bounce out of his crouch shifting, quick feet, solid arm strength and makes accurate throws, repeats his mechanics and fundamentals well. Right handed hitter, hits from an open narrow stance, tall approach, fires his hands well and has some bat speed, gap to gap contact with some carry on it. Excellent student, signed with Clarendon College.
