Nick Nowak is a 2021 C/RHP/MIF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Waukesha, WI who attends Waukesha South. Showed good speed and athleticism, running a 6.94-second sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher with a medium frame and slender build that has room to fill. Replaces the feet well behind the plate, gaining ground to second base with a quick exchange and short arm action to throw. Creates accurate carry to throws on the bag at 73 miles per hour. Also worked out in the infield, rounding the ball well with clean footwork and present athleticism. Shows some good range to the glove side and present arm strength, making accurate throws at 83 miles per hour. Right-handed hitter that starts from a tall and even stance with a hanging leg lift trigger and high-hand set. Shows present bat speed with a direct path to contact and naturally lifted barrel plane, executing a middle of the field to pull-side approach with advanced bat-to-ball skills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that has a simple and easy delivery from the windup, has clean lower half direction and gets good extension over the front side. Comes from an over the top slot with developing command of the fastball up to 84 miles per hour. Mixes speeds at times with a curveball that has 11-5 shape at 72 miles per hour. Good student.
