Nick West is a 2022 3B/RHP/SS with a 6-0 183 lb. frame from Verona, WI who attends Verona Area. Medium, athletic frame with present strength proportioned throughout, additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.48 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, shows clean actions moving to either side, ranges well to glove side, surrounds the ball well and hands play out front, shows present arm strength and carry on throws across the diamond. Also pitched, shows nice potential on the mound; simple and easy delivery with a belt high leg lift, lands online down the mound with extension out front. Long arm action through the back working to a mid three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, mostly true in life, can challenge hitters up in the zone effectively. Attacks hitters with three-pitch mix, tends to slow arm action at release on curveball with 10-4 shape, shows comfort with the pitch and flashed a changeup with fading action at 74 mph. Switch-hitter, showed best from left side in this look; tall and even stance with natural lift to swing path and shows strength in his hands. Works the gaps from the right side, swing with intent and shows ability to impact the baseball. Good student.
