JR Morrow is a 2023 C/RHP, OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Pleasant Lake, MI who attends Northwest. Medium frame with an already filling out build showing some physical room to fill down the road. Ran a 7.92 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sits well into his stance as he receives baseballs out front. Quick transfers on throw downs as he released the baseball from an uphill look. Throws around the bag at times. Recorded a 1.98 second sixty yard dash in drills. Secondary Righthanded Pitcher, working with a side step and lift to a belt high leg kick. Fast paced motion before dropping and striding out. Shorter arm action in the back before flashing a high three-quarter arm slot. Only threw a fastball that was up to 79 MPH. Secondary Outfielder, showing good routes to the baseball. Working through the baseball with an upright stance while releasing uphill as well. Arm showing to be accurate. Righthanded Hitter, starts with an open stance with a back shoulder that is below his front shoulder. Uphill swing path that proved to be loud when he found the barrel. Can simplify and battles at the plate when behind in count. Outstanding Student.
