Cole Tillman is a 2021 RHP/SS with a 6-0 148 lb. frame from Mosspoint, MS who attends East Central. Medium and lean frame with room to fill moving forward and time to do so. Ran a 7.25 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins windup with a side step up to a belt high lift, quiet and compact delivery with low effort and deliberate tempo, lets go of the baseball from a lower release point, arm works through the back from a full arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, he comes down the mound with good balance and a fluid hip rotation landing slightly closed off. Fastball topped out at 76 mph with frequent arm side run on the offering, mixes in a curveball from a lower arm slot that has 10-4 shape and a feel for the offering, fills up the strike zone with the ability to work to both sides of the plate. Secondary shortstop, sat back on the baseball during drills with developing footwork and hands, young actions that should improve with additional reps at the position. Righthanded hitter, wide base with a slightly open stance to start, inside hand path to the baseball, needs to continue to get stronger for improved bat speed and impact strength, should look to repeat swing path for more consistent contact, worked to all parts of the field during batting practice round. Good student.
