A primary second baseman with infield versatility who showed off soft hands to work through the baseball. he moved well up the middle and was able to gather the feet and square the shoulder for accurate throws across. Funnels through the middle of his body and gets some strength behind the throws for 83 mph velocity across. A right-handed hitter with closed feet and a squared base. Starts with a high hand set and high back elbow; uses load stride timing to get the foot down. Gets some separation in the hands with a feel for the barrel. Got some barrel whip through the zone. Starts with higher set hands working into a leg lift that gets above the belt. Pounded the zone with fastballs, working up to 83 mph, spinning it around 2108 RPM. The pitch had life and he was able to get inside to right-handed hitters while working arm-side creating some jam jobs. Also spun an 11-5 shaped breaking ball around 2075 RPM in the upper-60s. He landed it for strikes and was able to induce swings and misses. He worked quickly and efficiently in his outing. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
