Amir Pineiro is a 2020 C/1B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Yabucoa, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance, swings hard and doesn't get cheated at the plate, will wait for his pitch then attack it, shows gap to gap power and gets the ball in the air, hard rotation and an all or nothing approach. 7.13 runner, is athletic behind the plate with good quickness and footwork, gets his body into his throws, can improve glove to hand exchange. Excellent student.
