Danny Oh is a 2008 OF with a 5'11'', 185 lb. frame from Everett, WA who attends Jackson HS. He has a medium frame and build and developing strength. Oh really stood out in Cincinnati with his bat. He is a very polished and advanced hitter who generates bat speed with minimal effort. He has a quiet, very balanced approach and gets to his front side early and easily. Oh had quality swings against 92-95 mph fastballs from right handers, tough battles against left handers and stayed back another at bat on a change up and pulled a home run to right field. He's just a natural hitter with easy, quick actions and the ability to hit all types of pitches hard. Oh has the same type of smooth, easy actions as a defensive player. He has very good arm strength and an easy release. He's a 6.79 runner. Scouts are going to look at Oh and worry because of his young 5-11 build and might think "college player". We think that would be a mistake. He has the present tools and skills to be a high round pick out of high school. Oh is a very good student.
