Tyler Markman is a 2022 RHP/2B with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Roseland, NJ who attends West Essex. Recorded a 5.31 second forty-yard dash time. Medium, slender frame with long limbs and room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher, simple delivery, good tempo, uses length well down the slope, over-the-top arm slot with good extension out in front. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 77 mph in this look. Shows ability to command both sides of the plate with full mix. Proficient strike thrower that attacks with fastball early in the count and then uses three distinct secondary offerings to put away hitters. Well-replicated changeup flashes short fading action to it down in the zone, while breaking balls show both slider and curveball spin profiles to them. 12-6 curveball is further along at present, flashing tight spin out of the hand and late depth through the zone. Secondary infielder with developing defensive skill set; displays deliberate actions throughout the fielding process, while fielding slightly deep and recording arm strength up to 76 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and short, quick leg lift. Contact oriented stroke with downhill swing path and developing feel for the barrel. Mostly middle-of-the field impact with ability to drive the baseball to the opposite field when on-time. Will continue to improve with additional strength and proper adjustments to his skill set. Good Student.
