Issac Araiza is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-5 245 lb. frame from Yuma, AZ who attends Yuma Catholic. Extra big physical build. High leg raise delivery, good flexibility for his size and build, deep arm swing in back, fast paced mechanics, extended 3/4's arm slot. heavy upper body rotation makes it a hard delivery to repeat. Fastball topped out at 90 mph, gets nice sinking action at times, throws his fastball for strikes. Showed nice arm speed on a low 80's change up with big diving life, still developing feel with this pitch. Flashed big depth on a mid-70's curveball as well. Developing delivery consistency, especially on his secondary pitches, will be key to his development. Verbal commitment to San Diego State.
