Nathan Weber is a 2020 SS/C with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Milton, FL who attends Milton. Medium frame with an athletic build. Ran a 7.13 sixty yard dash. Primary shortstop with clean footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball cleanly and worked through exchange with developing fluidity. Released from a three-quarters arm slot and generated accurate, on line carry to the bag topping at 84 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Compact, direct hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Flashed present bat speed through the zone while employing a mid field approach. Also pitched utilizing a simple side step to lower leg lift delivery. Stays slightly flexed on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball came out of hand cleanly flashing occasional run to arm side in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 82 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with tighter spin and late depth. Also flashed a changeup offering with late sink in the low 70's. Consistently looked to attack hitters. Named to the 2019 National Underclass East Showcase, Top Prospect List.
