Hunter Baynes is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends IMG Academy. Solid athletic build with good strength and length. Long and loose arm stroke in back, gets good extension and direction out over his front side. Primary fastball pitcher, gets good ride to his fastball up in the zone and some sink and run down, has an idea how to work his fastball to different quadrants with intent. Fastball mostly worked in the upper 80's and topped out at 91 mph. Still developing consistency on his secondary pitches, had late hard fading life to his change up be still developing feel, created some curveball spin at times. Good student.
