Erik Brown is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Fresno, CA who attends Clovis North. Large frame with a projectable build and athleticism throughout. Ran a 7.15 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Smooth paced footwork while working through the ball. Fields to the side and into clean and quick exchanges. Compact three-quarter slot at release with carry to the bag at 81 MPH. Righthanded hitter with an upright and slightly open stance to start. High leg lift trigger for timing. Creates barrel speed and whip through the zone with a long line drive path to the ball. Rotational lower half actions throwing the barrel head out in front. Middle of the field to pull side. Strong hitter in the box that should continue to improve with added strength. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a side step delivery into a leg lift above the belt. Lands in line down the mound with a long stride out. Long and loose arm action in the back and into an extended three-quarter arm slot. Creates downhill angle when getting on top of the fastball at 81 MPH. Mixes in a solid 12-to-6 curveball with depth to the pitch. Excellent student as well. Named to the 2019 West Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
