2022 National Showcase
Michael Miller is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Mendota, MN who attends St. Thomas Academy. Big and strong build, especially in the lower half. Multi-piece delivery, quick hands over the head start, stays on line and repeats well for his complexity, high 3/4's arm slot, has deception in his delivery and in his raw stuff. Four-seam fastball sits at 90-91 mph, mostly straight, will also drop a two-seam fastball and firm change up into his mix. Threw a short and tight slider in the lower 80's and bigger breaking ball in the upper 70's. Good at grips and shaping pitches and has an understanding of movement. No dominant pitch at present but is effective with strikes and different looks. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Duke.
