Peyton Gray is a 2026 3B/RHP, C with a 5-8 125 lb. frame from St. Meinrad, IN who attends Heritage Hills. Small and skinny frame with room to fill and time to do so. Ran an 8.26 second 60 yard dash. Primary third baseman, worked out in the infield with active feet, moves well in the dirt, low arm slot throws with some accuracy across, topped out at 65 mph across the infield in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher, good rhythm delivery that starts with a small rocker step up to a high leg lift, fluid arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, has a feel to spin and throws strikes, fastball topped out at 70 mph with life to the armside frequently.Also worked out behind the plate, sets up in a high crouch, footwork stays true out of crouch, gains ground and has quickness to his transfer, accurate throw downs. Versatile defender. At the plate he sets up with an even stance and a high hand set, meets the ball out in front with a line drive swing plane through the hitting zone, linear swing with young bat speed, middle of the field approach, will improve impact as he continues to fill out. Outstanding student.
