2022 Southeast Prospect Showcase
Walker Roberts is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Greensboro, GA who attends Gatewood. Walker has a natural skill set on the mound with a very good fastball that carries through the zone. Showing occasional sink and run to the arm side his fastball also has some movement and late action. The curveball pops out a bit early but has hard biting action down making it difficult to square up. Walker also shows another breaking ball in a slider with more tilt and and depth giving him another "power" pitch. On the infield, Roberts has some good fundamental movements and actions. Arm strength is good and mobility was smooth. Offensively Walker has a direct bat path to the baseball with an intent to pull the baseball. He shows some feel for the bat in the zone, just not enough consistency right now. Walker was named to the 2022 Southeast Prospect Top Team List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
