2023 13U/14U Summer Main Event Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Matthew Lazarus is a 2027 SS/MIF/OF with a 5-5 140 lb. frame from Brookhaven, GA who attends Greater Atlanta Christian School. Smaller frame with a young, athletic build. Ran a 7.07 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, good first step and energy to the spot, times himself well and shows solid hands, higher release and developing arm strength. Athletic in the outfield as well, works through it well with clean actions, arm plays well. Pitches too, compact delivery and rides the back side well, short arm stroke and pretty straight on the fastball, has some slurve-like shape to the breaking ball to build on. Right-handed hitter, clean setup and moves in on time, excellent feel for the barrel and has good bat speed, stays compact and able to leverage some already, good impact to the pull side consistently.
