Jackson Holmes is a 2021 RHP/1B with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Columbia, IL who attends Columbia. Outstanding young pitchers build, long and slender with lots of room to get stronger. High leg lift delivery, lower half stays on line well down the mound although his upper body can drift off early, long and fast arm action to a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 88 mp, works well to the glove side and can get running action on both sides of the plate. Very nice slider with tight spin and tilt and depth, throws his slider for strikes and has a feel for both the early count strike and the swing/miss late count pitch. Projectable young right hander with a solid future as a sinker/slider starter. Excellent student, verbal commitment to St.Louis. Named to the Midwest Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.
