Cliff Anderson is a 2006 outfielder/first baseman from Sandy, UT with a good athletic body at 6-2, 188 lbs. He is a very good runner for his size at 6.69 and threw 84 mph from the outfield in drills. Being a left handed hitter with a pro body and solid running and throwing tools is sure to attract professional attention. Anderson hits from a balanced no stride approach and uses his very strong hands well. He can be a bit late on the harder velocity pitches because of his approach and occasional late trigger, but he knows how to get the bat head to the ball and drive it hard. Anderson showed very good power potential to left centerfield and will continue to develop his power when he learns to get more of his lower body incorporated into his swing. Anderson's overall tools are top of the board and he has top line potential as a left handed hitter with power. Top level prospect.
