Caleb Carpenter is a 2027 OF/RHP, SS with a 6-0 168 lb. frame from College Grove, TN who attends Independence. Tall, lean body with immense physical projection. Good runner, ran a 7.15 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, good actions working through the ball, quick transfer and big arm strength. Full arm swing in the back to a higher release, creates a ton of carry on throws, recorded throws up to 87 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, waist high leg lift, athletic down the slope, medium arm swing in the back to a high three-quarters slot. Downhill plane on fastball, 11-5 shape to the curveball, landed the curveball consistently. Fastball got up to 83 mph (2013 RPM) with good life out of the hand. Curveball got up to 69 mph (2265 RPM). Also worked out in the infield, same athleticism shown here as the outfield workout, works around the ball, quick first step and lateral mobility. Showed ability to change arm angles, throws have carry and accuracy across, tons to like in multiple spots defensively, recorded throws up to 81 mph. Right-handed hitter, medium base with good balance in the swing. Hands drop in the load, loses the barrel, inside out path and impacted the ball to the opposite field when on time. Great student. Named to 2023 13u/14u Sunshine Gulf Coast Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
