2023 Great Lakes Prospect Showcase
Henry Murray is a 2025 OF/3B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Lane Technical. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Switch-hitter at the plate, shows his best bat speed from the left side, turns on the ball hard with barrel whip and leverage, plenty of carry. Still has a balanced stance and good shift into contact from the right side but less bat speed and less natural feel, still has some quality right handed hitting tools. 7.08 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, works through the ball well and stays low to the ground, long high arm takeaway with some carry on his throws. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Boston College. Named to the Great Lakes Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
