2020 Atlantic Coast Prospect Showcase
Jacob Zuniga is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Sandy Spring, MD who attends Our Lady Of Good Counsel. Medium athletic build, has a quick and athletic delivery, gets down the mound well with good direction and balance, medium length arm action with a high 3/4's arm slot. Steady mid-80's fastball, works down in the zone well with his fastball and throws lots of strikes with the pitch. Threw both a curveball and a slider, both showed quality spin and biting action, curveball was his primary breaking ball this outing. Flashed a change up with good arm speed and some late fading action. Showed four good pitches and plus command, really got into a good rhythm on the mound and had a nice outing. 7.19 runner who showed his arm strength from the outfield and infield in drills. Very good student, verbal commitment to Salisbury University. Named to the Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
