2020 Sunshine Showcase at Prasco Park
Brady Boltinghouse is a 2022 RHP/IF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Columbus, OH who attends Hilliard Davidson. Long and slender build with lots of room to get stronger. Slow paced well controlled leg raise delivery, gets his knee to his chest but stays balanced and on line well, high 3/4's arm slot, arm works loose and smooth, very good overall mechanics. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, mostly straight, fills up the zone with his fastball and moves it around effectively. Did not show a breaking ball but did throw a straight change up. Has the mechanics and the projectable body to continue to improve with additional strength, will have to learn a curveball or slider to take the next step as well. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall stance with a low hand load, gets his hips into his swing well, puts the ball in the air consistently.
