Steffen Mello is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Middleton, WI who attends Edgewood. Lean athletic build with plenty of room to fill in and get stronger, projects well physically. Has a controlled and balanced delivery with a long and loose arm action, gets into his lower half well coming down the mound. Fastball worked in the upper 70's and topped out at 80 mph, more there with additional strength. Curveball was thrown in the mid-60's with some 11/5 to 12/6 shape and some depth. Also showed a change up with some cutting action, tunnels the change up well with his fastball. Good bet to keep improving. Good student. Named to the Fall Midwest Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
