Owen Sherrill is a 2025 C/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends St. John's. Medium, thick frame with obvious strength in the frame, especially in the lower half. 7.65 runner in the sixty. Right-handed hitter, square base with high hands and a high back elbow, hand load, toe tap trigger stride, swings it hard and turns the barrel over well, showed the ability to lift the ball with good strength off the barrel. Primary catcher, staggered feet and narrow base, quick exchange with repeatable actions, gets the ball out quickly on throws, recorded throws up to 73 mph and a pop-time of 2.03. Secondary third baseman, fundamental movements to either side, deep funnel, compact arm action and developing arm strength across the diamond. Limited lateral mobility shown up the middle, recorded throws up to 82 mph. Also worked out in the outfield, slow and controlled on the charge, works through it well, carries momentum nicely and a big crowhop into throws, developing arm strength, recorded throws up to 83 mph. Great student.
