Eduardo Lopez is a 2021 RHP/1B with a 6-1 225 lb. frame from Humble, TX who attends Summer Creek. Recorded a 7.90 second sixty-yard dash time. Physical frame with present lower half strength. Primary right-handed pitcher with a fairly simple delivery; square start with side-step rocker into a slightly higher than belt high leg lift and a shorter stride out to foot strike. Shows ability to command both sides of the plate well with fastball that worked in the 79-83 mile per hour range for the duration of his outing. Works from a high three-quarters arm slot that has some length on the backside of the arm stroke but repeats it will and stays inline with it. Secondary offerings are still in the developmental stages with changeup showing best at present with well-replicated arm speed and fade to the arm-side. Curveball has loose spin traits and will improve with added conviction and extension out in front. Throws plenty of strikes and competes every pitch. Secondary first baseman with deliberate footwork around the bag, clean funnel out in front and arm strength recorded up to 80 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small leg lift trigger. Quiet approach with consistent bat-to-skills, feel for the barrel and some hand quickness. Slightly upward swing path with line drive impact and raw power potential to the gaps. Solid overall skill set with upside on the mound and the ability to get outs. Named to the 2020 South Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List.
