Kai Nee is a 2025 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Westport, CT who attends Staples. Medium, athletic frame with present strength proportioned throughout frame. Left-handed pitcher, begins with a full hand stretch up above head to start rhythm on mound, leg lift up past belt with a hip turn at top; works exclusively out of the stretch and with a methodical tempo throughout. Short arm stroke through the backside and shows quickness to arm action, tends to stride open coming down the mound with strike foot. Fastball topped out at 88 mph and maintained velocity throughout both innings, shows subtle running life to the arm side with sink and able to get the pitch in on right-handed hitters. Worked around the zone, curveball shows 12-6 shape with sharp bite and depth on top at release, developed a nice feel throughout. Left-handed hitter, begins with a wide and slightly open stance, high hand set and back elbow in the box. Gets hands through on swing with quickness to turn, shows some feel for barrel and comfort working to pull side, strength in hands, cut off finish through the point of contact. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Duke.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
