Emerson Dolph is a 2022 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Lincoln, NE who attends Lincoln Pius X. Large frame with lots of length to the build and room to fill. Primary right-handed pitcher, crouches into the delivery, comes from a side arm slot and utilizes a low release point. Arm gets off line in the back, falls off heavily towards the first base side. Tends to miss arm side due to his direction. Will drop the arm slot lower at times, there is definite deception in the delivery that creates angle and makes for a tough at bat for right-handed hitters. Fastball really takes off arm side with late action, plays into it well by attacking the inner half. Throws a changeup that he tunnels well and has slower fade action, the fastball run is much steeper in comparison. Also throws a slider with slow sweeping action that starts to break out of the hand. Great student.
