Noah Torres is a 2021 RHP/C, OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Humble, TX who attends Atascocita. Recorded a 7.69 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, slender frame with room to add strength and some remaining projection. Primary right-handed pitcher with a fairly simple delivery. Incorporates side-step rocker to get started with slightly coiled leg lift into balance and shorter stride out to foot strike. Works from a compact, higher three-quarters arm slot with length on the backside of the arm stroke. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the most part, topping out at 78 mph in this look with good command to the lower third of the strike zone. Mixed in slower breaking ball that varied in shape and flashed occasional downer tilt to it when thrown with conviction. Secondary outfielder with deliberate approach into the fielding process, fielding slightly off to the side into a longer release. Recorded arm strength up to 81 mph from a short arm action in outfielder drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with consistent bat-to-ball skills, some feel for the barrel and occasional impact to the gaps. Intent based mechanics with slightly upward swing path and rotational lower half mechanics. Will continue to improve with minor refinements of swing mechanics. Good Student.
