Sean Varon is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 5-7 160 lb. frame from Oceanside, NY who attends School 7-Oceanside Senior School. Recorded a 7.18 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with room to add strength and project. Primary shortstop who fields with two hands out in front and throws from a high slot. Uphill release and can move well to the backhand. Long strides with quick feet and moves with energy. Secondary right-handed pitcher who throws from the stretch only. Longer arm stroke with a good stride toward the plate. Comes out of the hand well and topped out at 82 mph. Simple mechanics that he repeats well. Curveball shows tight rotation with 12/6 shape and he misses bats with the fastball when elevated. Right-handed hitter with a small leg lift trigger, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Downhill swing plane and can cover the plate to work to the opposite field. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
