Nicholas Deakin is a 2025 1B/RHP with a 6-5 210 lb. frame from Odessa, FL who attends Tampa Jesuit. Tall broad shouldered athletic build with big strength potential. Right handed hitter, starts with a busy hand load and a toe turn timer into his stride, long uphill swing plane, looking to lift the ball, long and extended swing. 7.37 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, moves well and has good feet and agility for his size, plenty of arm strength as well. Also pitched, high front side to the plate with a high 3/4's arm slot, can extend better out front on release. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, tends to work to the arm side. Soft curveball was his best pitch this day, landed it well with 12/6 shape and some spin/depth. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
