Esteban Jogins is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-0 164 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Lean, athletic frame with some quick twitch athleticism and room to add strength. Recorded a 7.17 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with smooth, fluid actions into and throughout the fielding process. Fields cleanly out in-front, carries momentum into release and exhibited good carry on his throws. Recorded arm strength up to 85 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this one. Simple, repeatable delivery with slightly higher leg lift and good lower half movements down the slope. Fastball worked in the low-80s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 85 mph from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Pounded the zone with his fastball effortlessly and mixed in a developing slider that will need to be refined in-order to become a viable secondary offering. Left-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and hover trigger. Displayed good rhythm and tempo to his movements into launch. Generates some whip to his barrel and exhibits plenty of present bat speed. Simple, line drive stroke that will continue to evolve his overall hit and power tool once he creates some more lift. Sound overall prospect with some upside physically, will continue to improve with additional strength and minor refinements of his swing. Good Student.
