Marcus Metz is a 2022 LHP/ with a 6-1 140 lb. frame from Vista, CA who attends Rancho Buena Vista. Left handed pitcher, lean medium build with good athletic actions on the mound. Controlled delivery with good balance. Hip high leg lift sits tall on back side, falls into stride on a stiff leg. Good arm speed, gets to a 3/4 slot with some cross body action, does a good job getting into the zone. Fastball was up to 75 with present life to it, some natural arm-side run. Limited break on the curveball, hangs it some. Slider showed more efficiency, good horizontal movement with a late bit to it, both pitches kept consistent arm actions. Solid feel for the changeup showing good arm side dive. Great student.
