Joe Jernigan is a 2023 OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Kenilworth, NJ who attends David Brearley. Defensively, Jernigan worked behind the ball well and put himself in good positions to throw. With athleticism in his movements, he displayed sound footwork from the outfield. As he continues to grow and add strength to his build, velo should increase. At the plate, Jernigan showcased a compact rotational swing with an aggressive approach. He flashed contact back up the middle consistently. Once again strength will increase bat speed and power potential in the future. Ran a 7.85 60 yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
