2022 Puerto Rico Workout Showcase
Mario Bernard is a 2024 1B/LHP with a 5-11 164 lb. frame from Coamo, PR who attends Colegio Valvanera. Physical, big build with present size to both halves of his frame. Ran a 7.28 in the 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields square well with good fundamentals on the dirt. Shows a stronger arm across with promising accuracy. Cleaner glove and showed some quickness on his turns. Switch hitter from an open stance, lower hand set and narrow base. Looks to work the barrel out front with good strength. Goes the other way with intent from a shorter path. Has some strength at the plate. Very good student.
