Genis Lopez Jr is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Simpsonville, SC who attends Mauldin. Slender young athletic build. 7.38 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, works from behind the ball well and carries his momentum into his throws, clean exchange and transition to throwing, very good arm strength and carry. Also plays first base with very good athleticism and actions for that position. Left handed hitter, starts with a big leg raise load, turns his front side hard, aggressive hitter who creates nice bat speed, shows barrel accuracy and consistently pulled the ball hard in both batting practice and in the games, really projects well as a hitter as he gets stronger. Two way prospect on the mound, works from slow to fast mechanics with some energy at release that he controls well, high 3/4's arm slot, stays on line well through release. Fastball worked in the mid 80's, slider was a nice pitch with good sharpness and spin. Rare change up that showed some promise. Experimented early with a slow curveball but wisely went exclusively with the slider after that. Just a really good athlete with lots of baseball skills.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
