Cael Kaestner is a 2023 C/OF with a 6-1 172 lb. frame from Luzerne, IA who attends Benton Community. He has a tall frame with a slender build and room to add strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.91 seconds. Primary catcher that starts with a side saddle stance. He has a chest height transfer and does not fully get his hand into his glove. He jumps up on the throws and has a long, whippy arm. He can improve on his pop time by staying low through the process and gaining ground towards second base. Right-handed hitter that starts in a wide base with high hands and a high back elbow and does not stride before his swing. He shifts his weight through the swing well and showed some pop off the bat. He has an uphill swing and a pull approach. Excellent student.
