Zayne Walker is a 2027 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Fayetteville, AR who attends Shiloh Christian. Medium athletic build with some strength for his age. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance, swings hard and has quick hands, tends to commit early and get out front and can let the ball travel better, has plenty of bat speed and pulls the ball hard, lots of projection here offensively. 7.40 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, moves well and has some lower half athleticism, has some arm strength and carry with developing footwork into his throws. Also worked out in the outfield and looked solid out there with confident funnels fielding the ball and athletic footwork into his throws. Also pitched, has a high 3/4's arm slot with some arm speed, good lower half direction down the mound. Fastball worked mostly in the mid-70's, reached back for 77-78 when ahead in the count, got some occasional cutting action to his fastball. Slider was a good pitch for him, tunnels it well with his fastball and showed feel for locating the pitch. Good overall athlete who will keep improving in all areas. Named to the 13U/14U South Showcase Top Prospect List.
