Miguel Hugas is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Pittsburgh, PA who attends Shaler Area. Big and strong slope shouldered build. Primary right handed pitcher with simple turn and throw mechanics, stays on line well, easy low effort mechanics that he should be able to repeat well. Fastball worked in the low 90's and topped out at 93 mph, showed an advanced ability to throw his fastball for strikes, gets nice run and sink at times. Change up was his best off speed pitch this outing with nice fading action and good arm speed. Still working on his feel and ability to spin the ball. 7.08 runner in the sixty. Showed outstanding raw arm strength in the outfield during drills, new PG velocity record at 102 mph, did it with game footwork and a quick release, impressive. Switch-hitter at the plate, much more advanced from the left side, hits from a wide base with a top hand dominant swing and some juice in the barrel. Citizen of Venezuela who has moved to the US.
