Deonte Lenear is a 2027 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-10 110 lb. frame from Warren, MI who attends Harper Woods. Medium, athletic build with some present length and physical projection. Ran a 7.91 in the sixty. Infielder, fields it cleanly with a confident glove. Accurate arm and sound actions all around. Good glove and feel, confident feet and hands with accurate throws. Outfielder, confident charges with intent in the arm path. Good body control and funnels well. Also pitched, rocker steps into a higher three-quarter slot and shorter through back. Fastball played true up to high-60s, developing 12-6 shape and spin on his breaking ball. Uses length well and has the projection with a firmer finish. Left-handed hitter, wider stance and higher hand set. Closed and compact, clears space and gets on time. Quick hands with good contact off the barrel, creates backspin to pull side. Short left-handed stroke showed in game and the intent in path stood out. Athletic on both sides with lots to like offensively. Named to Top Prospect list.
