Moises Montero is a 2007 C with a 6'2'', 215 lb. frame from Santiago, Dominican Republic, who attends Instituto Iberia. Moises has a very strong athletic build and is one of the best looking catching prospects in his class. At the plate Moises has huge power potential and the ball really jumps off his bat. His approach is very raw at this point, but there is a lot of upside. He gets a little too aggressive at the plate and needs to tone down his approach some. Behind the plate Moises shows huge arm strength. He is quick with the ball and his throws are very accurate and hold their line. He has solid actions that will only improve with time. Moises has outstanding physical tools and could be a guy that has what it takes to play in the Major League one day.
